Nana Teapot Letters
Call me old fashioned, but I love letter writing. In a world that is so fast paced, with technology advancing there’s something so special about sending and receiving post. A text or email is nice, but a letter is like treasure.
So many of my own childhood memories involve receiving letters from my Grandmother. My Nan is a wonderful woman of God and has been such an encouragement to me through my life as she has encouraged me in the Lord from a young age. She would send me letters and parcels regularly. Her letters would share stories from her week, funny jokes, she would share about her church and what the Lord was showing her in scripture. I would find Christian stickers and bookmarks falling out of my letters as I opened them. She would send me parcels with Christian books and gifts. I would take great delight in opening the treasure that she had sent me. Equally I would enjoy writing back to her, sharing my week and my own ponderings.
My Mum continued to instil letter writing to me also. I would always have some new notelets or letter writing paper on my birthday or Christmas. I usually was very keen to get my new pens out to send my thank you notes back to my friends and family who had sent me gifts. I would look forward to letters from my Mum whilst I was at Bible College and would get a parcel sent regularly with goodies- my friends whooped with delight one Christmas when she sent us all Christmas cards a chocolate advent calendar each!
As many of you know, I’ve recently written a book called ‘Nana Teapot and the Grand Opening.’ The main character is a grandmother called Nana Teapot- who was inspired by some special people in my own life. I believe- in fact I know, that Nana Teapot is a writer. She loves to get out her favourite writing paper, her bible and her special pens and sit down to write to her dear family and friends, all whilst sipping a cup of tea.
I am so excited to share with you that I am launching a brand new devotional called ‘Nana Teapot Letters.’ Not all of us are lucky to have Nana Teapot figures in our lives; however I hope that this devotional will encourage your child in their own walk with God, with a letter from a warm character- a grandmother figure who loves Jesus and cares deeply about encouraging them in their walk with God.
The devotional will be monthly and will include:
A fun and encouraging devotional letter addressed to your child
2 recipe cards, one sweet and one savoury
A Bible memory verse
A craft/stickers/something cute
All wrapped up with a beautiful ribbon.
Each month the box will be seasonal and have a different theme according the season/time of the year; but the concluding message of encouragement to the children will remain the same.
I really hope that you will love this devotional. It’s something that has been on my heart for a long time and I believe that it will be a great encouragement to many children. I have put a lot of love into these devotionals as I personalise and wrap up their devotional box each month. I have also included an email address: nanateapotletters@gmail.com so that if the children desire, they can send in photos of their baking/ crafting activities each month which I will then send out in my next letters to the children the following month.
I can’t wait to get your order.
With love, Hannah
